SWAROVSKI CREATED DIAMONDS
"Made with Swarovski Created Diamonds"
Swarovski’s continued exploration of innovative materials is a natural evolution in science. Swarovski Created Diamonds share the philosophy of Daniel Swarovski, founder of the company, a visionary, scientist and inventor, with an eye for beauty and a deep respect for nature. His ultimate vision was to make dream-filled jewels accessible to all woman, of all ages, around the world, to inject glamour into women’s lifes – to democratize luxury. Created diamonds are identical to mined diamonds. They are 100% carbon and have the same hardness, brilliance and fire as natural mined diamonds. Only the origin is a laboratory, not the earth.
What is a created diamond?
Created diamonds are man-made diamonds (also called lab-created diamonds or lab-grown diamonds). They are identical to natural mined diamonds in terms of chemical composition (100% carbon), physical and optical properties. The only difference between natural mined diamonds and created diamonds is origin, created diamonds have their origin in a laboratory.
How are created diamonds made?
There are two patented processes that replicate the growth of a diamond as it happened in the earth’s crust billions of years ago: HPHT (high pressure high temperature) and CVD (chemical vapor deposition). Both technologies use high temperature and high pressure and a carbon-rich environment to grow diamonds up to a cuttable size.
What is the difference between created diamonds and cubic zirconia?
They are two different materials. Diamonds are composed of pure carbon, while cubic zirconia is made of zirconium dioxide. Diamonds are the hardest minerals that exist with a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale. Swarovski Zirconia is still very hard, reaching a rating of 8.5.
Where can I buy Swarovski Created Diamonds?
Swarovski Created Diamonds are not sold as loose stones. The DIAMA collection is exclusively made with Swarovski Created Diamonds.
