Swarovski Zirconia – the most responsible zirconia on the market
Internationally renowned for its supreme quality and brilliance, Swarovski Zirconia is also the most responsible zirconia on the market. This comes from having strong ownership and control over our zirconia supply and production. We have a small, tightly managed supply chain and our own best-in-class production facilities in Wattens, Austria and Thailand, where industry-leading safety, labor and environmental practices are in place and which are RJC certified.
A Transparent Supply Chain
Our responsibility extends beyond our own factory walls. That is why we aim to secure a transparent and controlled supply chain and work with only a handful of suppliers whom we know and trust. These are governed by our Supplier Code-of-Conduct. To ensure our high standards, we have brought many of the steps in the production of our zirconia inhouse.
Progressive, Safe Workplaces
We respect the human rights of everyone who contributes to our business, and go the extra mile to ensure our facilities and factories are safe, fair, and pleasant places to work. This means going beyond legal requirements for safety and security in the markets in which we operate. We are committed to being an employer of choice and regularly launch programs that benefit the well-being of our employees. One such example is the ‘Happy and Safe Workplace’ initiative at our factory in Thailand, which will also be certified against the OHSAS 18000 occupational health and safety standard in 2016.
Strict Standards on Product Safety
We take the safety of both our customers and our employees very seriously. Our CLEAR standard, which ensures our products are free from harmful chemicals, is globally consistent and applies not only to our own facilities but also to all our suppliers. Through CLEAR, we monitor evolving chemicals regulations (particularly in key markets such as China, Japan, the US and Europe), determine the action we need to take to comply, and keep our Restricted Substances List regularly updated. It currently comprises approximately 300 substances. In this way, we systematically manage, restrict and eliminate harmful chemicals from our products and supply chain.
