ANDAM award winner Stephanie D'heygere
Flair for the Extraordinary with Swarovski Zirconia
When it comes to bright ideas, designer Stephanie D'heygere is both original and inventive as one particular stand-out piece in her new collection clearly illustrates. The (Ear) Ring set with Zirconia from Swarovski is a unique take on the classic engagement ring that can also be worn as a single earring. This entirely new approach to a traditional piece of jewelry is typical of the imagination D'heygere deploys in her creative process, which she describes as exploring the modern dichotomy between what is luxurious and what is mundane.
The striking jewelry design uses either white or pink Swarovski Zirconia and follows on from D'heygere winning the prestigious ADNAM Accessories Prize in 2018, which came with sponsorship from Swarovski.
The Belgian-born designer graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2009. Until 2015, she engaged with some major fashion houses before joining Maison Martin Margiela. She was then appointed senior jewelry designer at Dior. D'heygere launched her own brand of accessories during Paris Fashion Week in January 2018, just a few months before the announcement of her winning the prestigious ADNAM Accessories award.
