SWAROVSKI CELEBRATES THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS GEMSTONES BUSINESS
50 years of genuine gemstones by Swarovski
Swarovski, a multifaceted company dedicated to dedication to innovation and excellence, has been a renowned international brand for over a century. Synonymous with the highest quality crystal, Swarovski turned its expertise in precision cutting to the manufacture and supply of genuine gemstones and created stones in 1965.
Many important milestones followed. 1995 saw the launch of Swarovski’s first line of machine-cut genuine gemstones. Originally including amethyst, citrine, peridot and rhodolite, the addition of sapphires and topaz quickly followed. Swarovski Genuine Topaz is now available in the revolutionary Natural Brilliance Cut launched in 2013 that significantly maximizes the stone’s brilliance, as well as in an array of colors created with Swarovski’s patented TCF (Thermal Color Fusion) technology, a 2004 breakthrough that colors topaz without irradiation.
In 1976, Swarovski was the first to offer machine-cut cubic zirconia to the jewelry industry, and in 2010 the first to cut zirconia according to the diamond cutting standards set by the Gemological Institute of America. The revolutionary Pure Brilliance Concept for Zirconia now includes Zirconia Fancy Diamond Colors and additional Fancy Diamond Cuts.
Swarovski is proud of our 50-year history of inspiring the fine and bridge jewelry industry with the highest quality precision-cut genuine gemstones and created stones. We now look forward to the many milestones yet to come.
