The Russian jewelry company Sokolov, a Swarovski Branding Partner for many years, inspires women to express themselves and to underline their own individual beauty with unique jewelry collections. It is no surprise that the mastermind behind the beautiful designs is a strong woman herself: Elena Rakutina, who has been Head of Research and Development at Sokolov for the past 5 years and looks back at 14 years in the jewelry industry and on a career in fashion.
Sokolov’s latest creations, designed by Elena Rakutina, include the Misty Rose collection in rose gold set with Swarovski Topaz in the pastel trend shade Misty Rose and the Floret collection, a series of pendants, necklaces, rings and earrings in yellow gold set with the novel Swarovski Zirconia Leaf Cut. Both collections are essentially feminine speaking to different characters of women with different styles.
Asked about where she takes her inspiration from the trained painter cites art, especially Impressionist paintings and nature as two of her primary sources for ideas. “Actually, I don’t spend much time thinking or analyzing what really inspires me. It happens in many ways. I think that sometimes even usual things give a quite powerful impulse for an idea to appear. The image that emerges before my eyes and generates a response. The more different things you see, the more food for new ideas you have.”
