RESPONSIBLE JEWELLERY COUNCIL RE-CERTIFICATION
Swarovski Gemstones Business renews commitment to sustainable practices
We are happy to announce that we have achieved re-certification against the Responsible Jewellery Council’s (RJC) Code of Practices (COP), which addresses human rights, labor rights, environmental impact, mining practices, product disclosure and many more important topics in the jewelry supply chain. The certification is a result of a successful verification of these standards at all manufacturing sites by an international third-party auditing company accredited by RJC.
The Swarovski Gemstones Business first became a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, an international not-for-profit standards and certification organization for companies that span the jewelry supply chain from mine to retail, in 2015. RJC statutes oblige members to renew their certification after a period of three years.

The auditors especially emphasized Swarovski’s various community support initiatives in the areas where we operate and highlighted the good employment terms with regards to wages, benefits, working hours and other working conditions in both our Austrian and Thai manufacturing plants. Also, the significant efforts we undertake to reduce the environmental impact of our business activities were positively mentioned.
The successful re-certification proves our ongoing commitment to sustainability and is an impetus to keep striving for a responsible way of doing business, concerning our own operations as well as the jewelry and gemstones industry as a whole.
