We are happy to announce that we have achieved certification against the Responsible Jewellery Council’s (RJC) Code of Practices (COP). The certification is a result of a successful verification of these standards by an international third-party auditing company accredited by RJC.

The Swarovski Gemstones Business is proud to have become a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council. The RJC’s principles and aims reflect and complement Swarovski’s own core values. By committing to respect the RJC Code of Practice, we are offering an important new level of transparency to customers, enhancing our leadership position in the global marketplace and reconfirming our commitment to responsible business practices in our Genuine Gemstones and Created Stones supply chain.
- DANIEL COHEN, MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF SWAROVSKI

The certification is an impetus to keep striving for a responsible way of doing business, concerning the operations of the Swarovski Gemstones Business as well as the jewelry and gemstones industry as a whole.

About RJC

The Responsible Jewellery Council is an international not-for-profit standards and certification organization. It has more than 600 Member companies that span the jewelry supply chain from mine to retail. RJC Members commit to and are independently audited against the RJC Code of Practices – an international standard on responsible business practices for diamonds, gold and platinum group metals. The Code of Practices addresses human rights, labor rights, environmental impact, mining practices, product disclosure and many more important topics in the jewelry supply chain. RJC also works with multi-stakeholder initiatives on responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence. The RJC’s Chain-of-Custody Certification for precious metals supports these initiatives and can be used as a tool to deliver broader Member and stakeholder benefit.

The RJC is a Full Member of the ISEAL Alliance – the global association for sustainability standards. For more information on RJC Members, Certification, and Standards please visit www.responsiblejewellery.com
